Well I took my Electro out for a trial run a few weeks back, and I was frustrated by how long it took for me to focus. In a few situations I had to ask my subjects (girlfriend and her friends) to keep talking for a few seconds while I got them focussed. The light available was indoor / overheads and outdoor / overcast.

I found that it took a few goes to get the little RF images perfectly aligned, as it was difficult to see in the lighting conditions, and I also wear glasses, if that makes a difference.

Now were the difficulties due to lack of familiarity with the Electro, or is it just a dim viewfinder? It was annoying to look so inexperienced in front of my gf's friends while fiddling around trying to get everything to line up.

Mind you, when I got the photos back I was blown away by their quality and sharpness. The only downside was that I stupidly left the aperture at f1.7 the entire evening, and a few shots I had stuffed up the DOF.

A dim viewfinder. I've found that they are difficult to focus.

Cleaning the VF/RF helped mine a lot! I can now focus in dim lighting inside in places where before I couldn't even see the RF spot. I've still got to work out the grip though. The way the lens is set more to my right hand side makes it difficult to focus with my left hand fingers hitting my right hand that's holding it. If anyone has any tips I'd love to hear 'em.
