Hi all,

I'm going to spend my christmas break in Cardiff and perhaps new year too. Is there anywhere interesting that you'd suggest to go to shoot some photos? I'm visitting my friend, but he's sort of stay-in person, doesn't get out much and doesn't know where interesting things are. we're both foreign students in the UK. I've been to Cardiff Bay area and the town centre before, but they seem to be too touristic?!

Thank you in advance

Cheers

Tran

Hi,

It depends how mobile you are and/or buses and snow.

Head north and you've the Breacon Beacons National Park and head NE and you've all the scenery and dramatic castles lining the route to Monmouth and beyond. And the coastline is pleasant going west.

Try Google or one of that lot and you'll be overwhelmed.

Regards, David

I will come in Cardiff in February, and I guess I will shoot terrific street pictures.
I will looking at binge drinking near the pubs, in the center of the town, and near the Millennium Stadium during the rugby matches in the week-end.
Could somebody confirm it to me?
Spyro, your shoot seems to tell me I'm right…

its not my shot, I've never been there... it is Maciej Dakowicz's, I linked to his set "Cardiff after night" in my post above. Have a look, it's hillarious!

Oh sorry; yes now I saw his albums on Flickr.
Biakalt you should find easily the right place with the names of the pubs on the Maciej Dakowicz's pictures ;-)
Please show us your pics at your return!
