Spotmatic Diopter?

Hello,

I have a couple of almost mint Spotmatics - along with a (probably too large) collection of matching Takumar glass. My eyesight has taken a turn for the worse and I need to find a couple of +1 diopters that would fit on the eyepiece of these guys. Any guide on where I can find some?

The flip up 2x vf magnifier might be more useful for critical focusing. Easily available, around $10.

What about an after market eyecup with the option of magnifying or diopter correction?

Olympus OM diopters will fit Pentax Spotmatics, Minolta SRTs, and Contax 137s. So these other brands should fit as well.

Thanks for the suggestion - the OM one might be the way to go - after all I live in Japan and these should not be hard to find.

If one of these (above) doesn't work, Take the mounting + camera to your eye doctor and have a custom lens ground. Keep those spotmatics running.

I have found a couple through a shop here in Tokyo. It seems my Spotties now have a new life. Of course I need to wait to see my films back from processing before I can see how many I got in focus.
