Spotting RZ67 Revolving Backs

I'm looking to pick up an RZ67 for my studio shooting, and it's been a lot harder than I expected to find one with a rotating back! I've seen a few good deals, but every time I message the seller they tell me it's the non-rotating variety.

Is there an easy way to spot the rotating versions? You'd think it's one of this camera's main advantages.

Are you mixing up RB and RZ magazines? There never have been RZ67 magazines without rotation, it is built into the coupling between the RZ67 magazines and body. It was the RB67 where rotation is done all at the body side. There is a (rare) so called "G adapter" to use RB67 (Graflok standard) magazines on the RZ - in which case that adapter has the rotating coupler to the body.

The switch on the body's right side that says R - M is for back rotation. Flip the switch to R, rotate back, flip it back to - (or move the shutter cocking lever).

To the best if my knowledge all RB/RZ bodies have the ability to rotate the back. The RB in RB67 stands for rotating back after all...

Plus the "rotating action" happens on the body, the back is just along for the ride.

It is a bit more complex in that the RB67 indeed had a detachable rotating back (magazine holder) as a entity separate from the body and magazine. It could be removed to fit a Polaroid (or Mamiya press magazine) back to the body. The (non rotating) magazines (or sheet film holders) in their turn were attached to the back with Graflok rails - in quite a few ways the RB is a minaturized Graflex reflex.

The RZ does not have a rotating back proper, but magazines that directly attach to the body, and which can be rotated in the locking mechanism.

Thanks guys, that really cleared it up. I've only handled an RB67 in person before, so I assumed the RZ worked the same way.
