Georgia Spring meetup! Where?

Okay, I am severely depressed. The warm, dismal winter weather sure isn't helping.

Maybe you guys can!

How about a meetup? Asheville was great! How about some suggestions of when and where for Spring 2013?:angel:

Last year, we had a couple of meetups including me, only, with Raid in Pensacola and then a lot of you guys in Asheville. Then, there was Paulbe and the Atlanta shoot. Anywhere within an easy day's drive from Atlanta is fine with me.

What about spring in Oakland? The cemetery, that is. Bet the flowers are great.
We could go in the evening; see if Margaret and Bobby rise from the dead, and then go across the street and eat fried fish...:)

I am good for Savannah! Azaleas are amazing in the Spring and we can visit the Garden of Good and Evil, preferably in the daytime.:p

Atlanta can be good for a more centralized location but let's hear from everybody!
 
Atlanta would be cool, but the coasts ( Gulf and GA) seem quite far to me. When I was hanging with the Philly group, nobody seemed to ever be more than 30 miles from the meeting point...

I'll defer to the group. Fortunately my Sentra gets around 30 mpg on the highway.

Looking forward to meeting some new folks!

Atlanta is much easier and less expensive for folks in the SE, it would be great to get the Alabama and Carolina folks down to Atlanta for this one!

Hi, Mike!:)

Atlanta seems to be the easiest for all to make. As to timing, I need to check the calendar after a doctor's visit next week. We still don't know about our surgery date, could be mid Feb-mid March, but just don't know yet.

We could do a mini-meet in a couple of weeks to discuss it at Manuel's...;)

This year, I would like to see something really cool for us to do. I have an idea or two but need the input from all of you!

I think there may be a way to sort this out even it includes a couple of Spring meets. Summer is too hot and Fall is not that great in Atlanta or Savannah, so maybe we can do one in Savannah and another in Atlanta a couple of weeks later as the warmer weather and flowers move north?

If it is Savannah, we did a photo roadtrip which included:

1. The River Front at night either Friday night or Saturday night.
2. Tybee Island at sunrise and the Fort Saturday morning.
3. Wormsloe Plantation after lunch.
4. The Garden of Good and Evil in the morning or afternoon/evening.

And a lot more.
 
Okay, a mini-meet in Atlanta... one day only...dawn to dusk.

How about Saturday, February 9, 2013? Any other dates? Check your calendar and let's see who is available?:D
