Atlanta sounds great for an early mini. Savannah sounds perfect for something later of longer duration as I will be shooting more than photos there. Great bar scene and I like my whisky!
My schedule is crazy right now. So, I'll pretend I am a college freshman again and make the roadtrip call at the last possible minute.

Okay, let's discuss!
I am out for February. Surgery is scheduled for Wednesday, February 13. So, I am out for March most likely as well. But don't let that deter anyone from taking the lead on this and going with any date! If I am still around, maybe I can make it but with no one to even count on for a single hour, my time is a bit filled even without surgery...
please, someone, please move forward on this as Spring only comes around once a year!

March or April anyone?
Any place to buy film in Atlanta? Columbus seems to be all digital since Ritz went under...

Hey folks,
Sorry -been remiss in posting here!
Busy winter with the 'yungins as they are both in transitional years at school. It seems like every free weekend ends up not being free!
I would still love to meet up. As mentioned before, it would likely be a last minute call.

A quick "Google" popped up a few potential stores -whether or not they are still there is another matter! Maybe Dave or another local could advise?
What do you like to shoot? Most drug stores have C41 -Walgreens' color is rebranded Fuji, I *believe*. Some still have 400CN. My local CVS (the best C41 drop-off I have experienced) still has Tri-X on the shelf, but it is getting $$$!!! Any more, I have been buying online as the mom-pops sadly fade away. This even includes C41 as the over-the-counter price keeps escalating.

Walgreens seems to be all digital, at least the one where I get my drugs filled. I should check the CVS and Rite Aid stores. I am looking for the 400CN as I usually shoot Ilford XP2. Or, I could order some stuff from B&H. I do prefer to shop local wherever I happen to be though...

I did see Dave's message, so I would not expect him to be available, but I was just pinging the group.
I may be in Alabama next weekend, as the Railroad folks from Chattanooga are running a steam trip to Attallah Alabama. That does seem doable from Columbus, so if I can swing it, I may try to chase it on the return trip.

Al--Showcase has film, as does Wing's--both relatively close to each other physically.
I'm not so worried about buying film--I'm getting nervous about finding processing.
E6 Lab closed 2 months ago and Showcase closed their lab 1 Feb. Yikes! Although a friend at Showcase said there's a little lab right down the street from them--looks like it'll be Dwayne's or Precision...

I had forgotten about CVS. Went to one today and picked up some 400CC. They did have Tri-X, but I am getting lazy and don't want to develop anymore. May need to rethink that at some point. Thanks for the tip.

They're a funny thing -these loca-national drugstores.
I buy C41 in one. Process in a second. Get prints in a third.

Neither had I! I've used them quite a bit in the past.

I missed this thread earlier. But, for what its worth, I'm thinking of a road trip from Miami to see my son in Atlanta and maybe do some more hiking on the Appalachian Trail in North Carolina. Date is flexible but it's looking like late April or early May. I'll let Dave know when the dates are more certain.

Hey, Al...still in hospital now...12 days and many more ahead whilst the doctors stop the internal bleeding. No idea when we will be home.
But, I hope by mid-March, we will be home and somewhat rested. I need a break, guys...so, keep cooking this one as it will be needed therapy for me.
Gotta run as I only have a few hours here to catch up on some sleep.

Back Home!
Back Home!
Now, with that said, how about a meetup at Manuel's Tavern in mid-March for a street photo walkabout in the funky section of town?
