Real men use B+W
I've just posted the results from a test of this developer on my blog:
http://www.theonlinedarkroom.com/2013/07/film-developer-test-spur-hrx-3-new.html
It's the second test I've done of Spur film developers. The first was Acurol-N, an accutance enhancing brew. In some respects it was easier testing Acurol-N against D76 because of the different nature of the developers. The HRX-3 New v D76 test was harder because the developers are so similar.
I found it very difficult to show the differences between HRX and D76 in jpegs but my conclusion is that HRX is as least as good as D76 1+1 in terms of grain and apparent sharpness and possibly slightly finer-grained. I'd be happy using HRX-3 New and D76 interchangeably which is high praise for the Spur product.
