Well-known
In late 2006 I was seduced by a pair of Leica-likes from Moscow Photo .
I liked them so much that I had them both ' Oleged ' making them far from cost effective Fed 1gs - as confimed by Oleg . But they work blissfully well .
He said that they had been well made , but probably with additional parts from other cameras .
Eventually , I found a 1932 Leica II [ 1st batch ] then , at a too-good-to-miss price another Leica II of 1933 [ 2nd batch ] .
A touch of champagne paint to the very ' grey ' chrome , in traditional theatre style , transformed my pretenders to complement them .
Pretenders to rear , of course !
