I just bought a stainless steel developing tank with a touch of corrosion.

Is there a way to get rid of the corrosion, via soaking?

Will it affect results if I just leave it as is?

regards Vick

^ I agree. Soaking won't do anything, but a little bit of polishing with steel wool will probably clean it right up.

Is the corrosion fine and light? If so, try rubbing the corroded areas with metal polish.

Is the tank new or used? If it's previously owned, it may have been used for colour processing. The chems used in colour developing is so nasty that lower grade SS (which some of the metal tanks are likely made of) can corrode.
