Stallone's Leica M9! No way!

He was so close to the camera. What if a tiny bit of his aura still sticks on it? Wouldn't you pay a fortune for that? :D
 
Unused so therefor a movie prop!
It would not have mattered what camera was used!
Fun to see if Stallone's 'touching' makes it valuable?
Strange it was bought and NOT rented..
I've rented or loaned equipment for movie use.
 
its a LN M9 and 35 Summarit, clearly worth more than the current 6k price.

the reason the M9 was in the movie is the same reason everyone was decked out with Steel Flame gear and he whips out a 3k Montegrappe in one scene. whenever he does a movie he just puts a ton of the stuff he likes in it, whether its a Leica or skull jewelry.

personally my impression of Stallone, having never met the guy, is that he is a fun dude who would rather spend his money on stuff he legitimately likes rather than stuff that necessarily fits typical big money taste ala patek, william henry, etc. I also appreciate that he seems to be cognizant of how he is perceived and to joke about it good naturedly rather than get all pissy about it.

There´s a Leica M hanging behind the pilot´s seat, when mr. Stallone pretends to fly a plane in the mentioned movie. Probably that camera. Lots of film props are put up for sale, with the seller trying to get an extra buck out of some celebrity once having held the item, no matter whether it was recognizible in the movie or not.

I think I just found an M8 which was briefly borrowed by Eggleston. Off to eBay!
