The really great thing about RFF has been the extreme rarity of hostility and arrogance. If we all work at continuing this tradition, we can keep RFF an island of friendship and reason.

When making statements of opinion, please be a little modest and make sure it comes across clearly as opinion.
Give the other guy some respect. We all are beginners at something, so show some compassion when this is revealed by others, and you'll be treated gently too when you are in the same positon! Ignorance is easily addressed with facts and shared experience!
I think we celebrate an open discussion here where nobody need fear being attacked for a well-meant (though perhaps poorly phrased) comment. As with a good marriage, it takes work and patience from all to maintain this fine RFF culture!
