Hi!

For the first time I exposed a roll of Tmax 400 at 1600. Currently I develop 400 for six and half minutes at 70 degrees. What would be a good starting point to get a good negative. I exposed three rolls so I can dial it in but I want to know where others have had success.

Thank you,
-J

The PDF I have doesn't say and at 400 it lists 5.5 minutes which is a full minute less than my 6.5 minute developing time with Tmax RS developer. Can someone please provide a reasonable starting point please.

Thank you,
-J

hey, here is a link to a page in which you can search for your developer and your film and get a correct time. for tri-x and d76 the approx time should be 9.5 minutes (at 20 degrees celcius).

edit: ops, my bad, misread tri-x for t-max, but you can search for t-max aswell on the site
