New to this and just recently found that I used a lot of fixer. It seemed that it is less "dangerous" to reuse fixer vs reuse developer. Hence, try to give it a go.
May I ask what is the starting point i.e.
- when I fix a roll of 35mm how much fixer to put back in?
- how about 120mm, 4x5 and for that matter (as I am still bidding a camera in that bay) 8x10?
Assume one use Paterson (500mm for 120 and 125mm Kodafix vs 375mm water), if one use 125mm that is not re-using. Hence, one shall use less. But how much?
For 35mm, 290 (or simply 300) mm, the Kodafix use is 75mm if one-off. How much then?
For 4x5, I normally use also 500mm like 120 (well due to the unorthdox way of development 1 4x5 in a Paterson tank for 1 120). Hence, I would follow the 120 one. (When 8x10 comes, I guess the volume will change as I will shift to Jobo processor and the rules comely change. Not sure how to begin and may be another question).
Of course that cannot reuse forever due to dirt and strength loss (by doing test). But at least 2 to 3 times reuse can save a bit.
Any help?
