This article is a reminder that the issues faced by street photographers are, largely, of a different scale to those faced by working photojournalists - as comments by Dan Rather to Byron Pitts of CBS on his departure to Afghanistan illustrate.

Sobering. I would have told Dan Rather, "Yeah, as a matter of fact, do send someone else." I reckon Ben Quilty the Australian artist who went to Afghanistan is a very brave man for what he did.
