First impressions summary of Steinheil Culminar 135mm /4,5 VL used on a M9:

IMO this lens renders very nice, and I really like the bookeh of this (because of 16 blade aperture?). Also it produces very nice and soft skin tones. In fact all images from this looks very soft. When comparing with photos by LEICA MACRO-ELMAR-M 90mm f/4 the Culminar photos seems less prone to noise for some reason???
The cons are low contrast and some really heavy vignetting in the outer end of corners. In fact I would say that post cropping is needed. This lens was picked up i a SH store in Praha, and I have seen several of these for bargain prices on eBay.
