I reckon the shutters are synchronised, thus giving you two shots at the same time with a few inches displacement. The resulting shots can be used for a stereo viewer.
I guess this one isn't as cheap as the older (mostly half-frame) steroe cameras out there.

I once met a guy who build his own 3d camera from two old yashicas. he coupled the leses with small bridges together since he ditched one VF for a buble level. funny guy he said he could project the slides for a 3d show! (don´t have a clue how this can be done)
anyhow..I snapped him and his rig:

Wow. That takes initiative and will. I wonder how many people have the expertise, then of those, won't laugh at the suggestion, and then who can afford it.
Makes the "collectable" old stereo cameras a bargain.
Now, who's up for a stereo Noctilux image?

Thafred, there are specialised stereo projectors. Expensive, no doubt, but projecting shouldn't be too much of a problem.
One could also take 2 slide projectors and position them side by side, have them aimed at the screen at a slight angle, focused properly... et voila, a 3d slide show!

It takes either a special stereo viewer or a bit of practice. Once you get the hang of it it's really amazing!
