This might be of interest to some folks. I've heard of this beast, but there isn't that much info out there about it. I love stereo-photography, and have an old Kodak Stereo camera from the late '50s, but this seems like the ultimate stereo-photographer's dream. A beautiful Zeiss camera body that accepts the world's best 35mm lenses. Now, if you have $5k to shell out for the body and say another $2-5k for lenses, you're ready to go!

Impressive but I do wonder about the guy's sanity. He spends 5 grand and a year later realizes the future is digital? Which rock has he been living under? His wife should smack him. Once for every dollar he's losing.

How do I know he's a guy? Oh come on now...

How do you know he's married?

Granted, I'm guessing

And that ZI looks sick! The engineering going in there must have been enormous.

Well lens #2 is apparently not coupled so that would make this considerably less complicated. Now where did I leave those two Ikons I don't really care for anymore, and the Dremel tool...

I've seen some very nice mechanical work from Germany, I believe, on a camera that had two 15mm CV lenses. Thought the bodies were Bessas, has been a while, but the club in Cleveland had folks coming from several states, some serious enthusiasts -- Igor of IgorCamera won several awards, with I believe a Realist, some of the members were expert in mounting slides for others.

Here's the site of the company that makes this, as well as several other stereo cameras. I guess they really do just bolt two of the same camera bodies together (I know it's more complicated than this, but that's the essence of it).

There's a Bessa-based model available, but the price seems awfully high considering it's two R2 bodies which can be had for less than $1,000, and probably even less than $500.
