Back in December '09 I sent Steve a Contina for adjustment. Weeks and weeks went by with no word or response from him by email or phone. I eventually heard of his passing and wrote a personal letter to his wife Barbara, offering my condolences and giving my contact info, explaining my situation. That was last June. No word since so I had basically given up on ever seeing my camera again.
Yesterday 6/9, the phone rings, it is Barbara. She had found my letter and united it with my camera and finally felt the need to call me. She explained that she has been rather overwhelmed by various family issues and also can't bear to go down to his basement workshop without company. She has been having a difficult time dealing with all Steve's loose ends. If any of you have sent registered letters, she does not respnd to them. She requests that you call her at 1-215-938-7817 to make arrangements for the return of your camera.
