Fred, I merely pointed out that I felt the nature of her self portraits did not give me anything more then just images of herself, period. I felt no deep meaning, no psychological or artistic context in which to compare the "performer" Stevie Nicks with the "person" of Stevie Nicks. I felt, as the descriptive of the images given by her gallery said, as just the passing of time with nothing to do since she is an insomniac. I felt there should be "more" to this. The images left me empty. They didn't reveal anything more about her as a performer, or as a person.
Is she a musician/artist? Yes. A photographic artist? Not for me.
End of story.
Peace and if I did not do so, a very happy, prosperous New Year to all! May light, or the dark if you prefer, fill your vision.

The best camera is one that still works!

Same to you Keith ... and no offense meant by the way.

Countess Castiglione? Now you are really working way too hard at being contrarian.![]()
Not really Fred, as I told you before, I am a big fan of 19th century photography and the Stevie Nicks over indulgent selfies immediately brought to my mind the 19th century beauty (and narcissist

Sorry, I am pretty much done here, don't have anything.![]()
That is totally OK Fred.
BTW, I often wondered who that headless man was, holding that Nikon SP low and cool by the neck strap on that Highway 61 Revisited album cover?

The photographer just handed that camera around, don't know what Dylan owned, always the chance it was his. I always thought it was a prop, not a user.

That is very interesting Fred.
I did find a site that provided the answers, the LP cover photographer was Daniel Kramer and the guy with the Nikon SP was Bob Dylan's friend Bob Neuwirth .

Almost all of the Dylan NYC photos are rather obvious location-wise, if one has lived in NYC long enough. Only Gramercy park looks like Gramercy Park for instance. Which house of course requires some research, the writer has been very meticulous in finding locations. Interesting.
But a search in the article does not really ever mention the word "Nikon" and Kramer (the photographer) never reveals much. I continue to assume the camera in question belonged to the photographer.
It would be fun to find out Dylan owned an SP.
My gut feeling is that the Nikon SP belonged to the photographer, but only Bob Dylan or the photographer himself (if he is still alive) can answer that.
I did like the location detective work that the author of that article did in NYC.

Her shots looked as good as any PR shots a pro would have taken, not as polished since she used a Polaroid, but good candid shots of herself.
She wrote some of the best of Fleetwood Mac's songs: Landslide, Rhiannon
