Stiff Rewind

Dear Bessa Users,

I have noticed the film rewind of my Bessa R2 is getting rather stiff in operation. It is more evident when I pull it up to open the backdoor. It feels a bit dry so how should I lubricate it? I have heard of people using lighter fluid but I do not know is it adviseable?

Ive had a stiff winder on my R once. But I found it was due to me badly loading the film.. So if its not that, then I have no idea 🙂
