Still using your Zeiss Ikon ZM?

That is sad. A ZM does not take up much room. You could consider developing your own films or mailing them to someone who still does it.

I' m sure selling it will not be a problem. Still plenty of people/members developing and printing their own film, or scanning. Think twice though, you might regret it!

I fully agree and indeed I thought about developing my own films. But that takes time to learn as I never did that before and as my time for that hobby is limited I prefer to spend my time taking photos. But again, self developing would have been an option.

Not finally decided yet :) I will have a look, how much would be paid for a ZM. As I probably would sell the body and the lenses together that might prevent an easy sale.

Developing your own B&W film is so easy, you'll kick yourself for not doing it earlier. It really does a whole new creative dimension to the craft.

Prices are going up on the ZMs. When I first started looking a couple o years ago there many nice ones for about $800 (used). Now they are over $1000.

Let's see - placed everything on eBay yesterday - including the 2.0/85mm Sonnar, which seems to be an extremely rare lens (I was not aware of that). I have seen the Sonnar on eBay offered alone for the same price as my complete package (including the Body and 3 other Zeiss lenses) ...

I live nearby Stuttgart (Southwest of Germany). Zeiss AG's headquarter is located in Oberkochen, which is only 50 miles away. Some of my former colleagues now work for Zeiss and last time I met them we talked about the ZM. While it was/is indeed a cool camera it seems that Zeiss was little bit too optimistic regarding numbers that can be sold. Therefore the time of production was not that long.

I'm fine. I got two of them.

I have two of them as well. I don't shoot as much film as I used to, so every now and then I think about selling one of them. The problems is, when I start to take pictures of it for an ad, I get nostalgic and change my mind about selling it.
