Stolen 35mm Summilux FLE Silver?

I was surfing through that auction site and found a new Summilux, serial number xxxx being sold at $xxxxx. I want to make sure it was not stolen from the Leica Soho store looting. Anyone know how to check?

Email Leica soho and ask. I’m sure they’re out there inspecting all the auction sites as well, but it would be helpful if you gave them a heads up.

FYI, I’ve seen several FLE’s sell on Craigslist in the LA area for around 3000. Never in silver though.

You could start by asking the seller when and where he bought it and see if he is willing to produce the original invoice. A newish lens would have warranty which may be transferrable.

There is just too much wrong there... I guess someone could get a deal and not care that they own someone else's property.
