I am going to get a long 2 draw filing cabinet that matches my Oak Desk, It is 48lx30h.

I am wondering if anyone makes Slide and Negative sleeves (35mm) and for prints 3x3 to 8x10. That will work in a hanging file draw. Letter size or Legal size, I can configure it for each.

Or, do I just use standard hanging folders with tabs to use as hint to what is inside.??

Thanks

No idea. But I am interested in any feedback you get as I have the same problem.🙂

I am also searching the net, and local office stores.
It is (or will be) a much better solution than dozens of notebook type storage boxes

I have thousands of slides/neg/prints I am scanning, and I just think it will be faster to find images. I will add a File Folder Category in my image data base software so I can do a search in that, first.

I store my negatives and proof prints in a hanging folder. I sleeve my negatives in the Print File sleeves (6 frames, 7 strips) without the 3 binder holes. I organize each set of negatives by the date into manila folders, each month of the year gets its green hanging folder.

Right now I store them in the individual clear plastic hanging-filing folder bins. I plan on moving to a filing cabinet soon.

I can take a picture of my setup when I get home later tonight.

A picture is worth 1000 words 😀
