Hi there, I'm going to get Microphen tomorrow, and I'm wondering how to store the stock solution. Just read the instruction sheet and it says to dissolve the entire sachet of powder to make the stock solution. Do you guys do that, and what kind of bottle/container is good for storing the solution?

Brown glass small bottles: 100, 150, 250 or 500 ml (4 oz - 6 oz - 8 oz - 16 oz) depending on how fast you use it. Keeps for months in a full, stoppered bottle.

Ideally, boil the water & let it cool before mixing: expels oxygen (= reduced oxidation) and precipitates the crunchy stuff in REALLY hard water.

Cheers,

R.

Small one time use bottles, 4 oz for 1:1 or use two bottles.

Specialty bottle company. They are called Boston rounds. Other places sell them also. Fischer Scientific for one. Photographer Formulary another.

I never store developer in partial full bottles, never ever. No accordian bottles. Use marbles to fill up space. Some developers are more sensitive than otheres. I use D76 and see a difference in a week. It becomes unpredictable.

They do not need to be brown if you store them in the dark like a cardboard box.
