Storing Vintage Cameras

I read that storing cameras in their leather cases is a no-no due to mold/humidity problems. I'm wondering about keeping them individually wrapped in bubble wrap. Would that work? Please let me know your views on proper vintage camera storage between usage, or for long term. Thanks to all . RB
