Stranded on an Island Scenario

Ok here is the scenario:

You're going to be stranded on an infinitely photograph-able island for a year with your favorite camera, BUT you can only take one b&w film with you and one developer, no other option exists.

Which film and developer do you take?

For those of you who process your own film, figure that you'll have the capabilities to process your own film and control the development, and for those of you that don't process your own film assume that you can have your film processed to your specifications. So let's here your picks. 😛

Even better: I would take only film and skip the developer for some bottles of that other type of fluid.

I love the look of the Delta films made by Ilford, but I'm also a fan of Tri-X. I'd probably choose Delta 400 if I was stranded with one film even though I like both equally.

I've used the TMax films, but not the Deltas, although I keep hearing good things about them. What developer would you use to process your Delta 400?

O contraire. I use D-76 1:1, one-shot. I mix a gallon and divide it up into 16-oz plastic bottles. A unopened bottle will keep that long and even an opened one does pretty well if you squeeze out most of the extra air.

Actually I could probably survive with HC 110 and the syrup has a very long shelf life.

I'll choose Ilford FP4 at EI 250 in Diafine... Useful speed, nice tonality and granularity, convenient.
