Hello all,
I found on Polish Ebay Allegro a very strange looking fed/leica. the lettering on the "elmar" definitely proves it to be a copy.
It seems it is a IIIa, but "siberianized". It means the knobs are fitted with a big metal knobs in order to be manipulated with thick gloves. weird really!

That really is strange - a FED turned into a (mythical) Leica copy of a FED! All a bit too post-modern...

Those German techs had definitely no imagination at all. I know the ussr was always producing the best for everything, but copying them! what about patents??
