strange shutter prob?

hi, i've been lurking here for a while, and finally have my yashica electro gsn 😉
i change the light seals, have a new battery and adapter, and it's near mint condition.
the only problem i have is if i shoot at f16, the shutter stays open. all other settings, including bulb work fine. the meter seems to work fine, f11 works fine, and i can't see a situation where i'll miss f16, as i just composed in bright sunlight at f11 and the over meter didn't come on untill i was side on to the sun. i'm just about to shoot a test roll, even the rangefinder seems to be aligned (i set markers out on the garage floor lol). is this the POD begining to go? i have the loud audible clunk as i advance the film.
just anote on the light seals. if i press the left end of the door, it presses inwards by about 2mm from it's naturally closed position. do i need to change the 1.5mm foam for something a little thicker, or will it not matter?

Sorry I can't answer your question, but welcome to the forum.

There should be a problem related to the POD. Check if it´s thickness is 2mm.
If it´s distorted or starting to go, replace it.
Refer to Yashica Guy website for more info.
Mine behaves different, at B the shutter remains open till I advance film. Other settings are fine.
The door may allow some light in if not properly sealed. Mine developed some light leaks with time (the door was bent a little in a weird shape). The door must have some play in the latch area but the seals at this place should be in very good shape so as to block any possible leak.

thanks for your replies. i just sent a test roll off so fingers crossed!
after i put a film in, there was just a little play in the door, and i followed the instructions in the seal kit to the letter so that must be normal. 😉
