Strap recommendations for Leica M5

Hatchetman,
The few that can fix an M5 are the few that I'd recommend for any Leica M:
Don Goldberg
Gus Lazzari.

The Lady in Upstate NY is sometimes cold, sometimes hot. I hear she loves the M5 though.

My M5 needed a new battery compartment. I suspect that Gus had to buy one from her.

I just realized that these two cameras have the exact lug configuration as a two lug M5.

For these, I've already put on a Voigtlander strap (seems narrow on the neck at 20mm), and a Leica strap that I got from our German RFFer LChanyungco. The Leica strap is broad in the neck, but the part going to the camera is only half as thick as the Voigltander or Nikon strap's.

I bought the Deadcameras Allfit strap recently for M5 and it fits perfectly. I had the 2-lug version converted to a 3-lug, but the strap will work for both horizontal/vertical carry styles. I wear it over my shoulder and let it sit on my hip.

My new favorite is the Crumpler Check strap. Cheap, with good weight distribution and ease of adjusting so you could quickly (and rather gracefully) shift the camera from around-the-neck to cross-body. Again, it's washable, which makes it perfect for the deadly humid and scorching sauna-like weather of East Asia around this time of the year.

Only drawback is it's somewhat hard to grab since it's often out of stock at B&H.
