It depends on the camera.
Yeah, I have/have had a lot of cameras.

- With Leica M-P 240, I used an A&A half case to give a better gripping surface that was a little thicker because the LCD and control buttons on the back didn't give me enough purchase on the body to hold the camera securely.
- With the Leica M-D 262, no half case or grip was needed since the body is thick enough and the lack of buttons/LCD gives me a secure grip just as it comes.
- With the Leica CL digital, a half case makes the body a little taller and thicker for more gripping surface.
- With the Leica M4-2, an A&A half case thickens the body just a little and gives me a better grip.
- With the Leica CL film, a Nikon flat nylon neckstrap fit the camera as if made for it.
- With the Leica SL typ 601, the same Nikon neckstrap cut down in length and fitted with a 180° twist made a perfect wrist strap.
- With the Kodak Retina IIIc/IIc, a Peak Design Leash neckstrap works well and I can take it off the camera when it gets in the way in a few seconds. (Note: The same applies to all the Leica M models and the CL digital as well.)
- With the Light L16, a Peak Design wrist strap serves the same function as the Leash.
- With the Voigtländer Perkeo II, it has no neckstrap lugs so I either keep it in a tiny bag when folded or fit a Peak Design camera plate to the tripod screw, and then use the PD wrist strap.
- With the Fuji GS645S Wide 60, the Peak Design Leash works well when needed.
- With the Hasselblad 907x, using my custom left side "dumb" grip, I fit a Peak Design wrist strap. If carrying the camera without a grip, the Leash works well. With the Control Grip fitted, a PD camera plate and wrist strap works well.
- With the Hasselblad 500CM, the Hasselblad neckstrap is perfect and removes in a moment when I'm working on a tripod.
- With any of the Polaroid SX-70 and derivatives, the PD Leash works when I feel I need a strap; usually I just keep them in the slim A&A carry case and pull the camera out for use, but when I'm using an accessory lens or filter holder, it's inconvenient to keep taking the accessory off and on to fold the camera.
- With Minox 35GT-E or Minox submini, I keep the camera in my pocket.
- With Rollei 35S, I keep the camera in its case and use its wrist strap.
Yeah, I have/have had a lot of cameras.

No problem, mackigator. Unfortunately, I couldn't tell if they are still making or selling them. Finger (slings) crossed!
