Street Gurus

Ok, can we now keep the hate to a minimum and get back to the topic? Hating people and assuming that they are all the same because the way they dress or where they live is not what RFF is about.

just a quick note to bump this thread back to life.

To Mods and the powers that be, how do we get a "street photography" forum going?

Social media killed street photography.

Street photography had its charm, now it has become a victim of online cliques, groups, gurus, workshops, meets and youtube videos.

Any activity that becomes too common loses its appeal.
That's odd - street photography seems to be alive and well from what I can tell.

Social media has indeed seen a geometric growth of poor quality (AKA crap) street photography. That is - IMHO - is a good thing for those who are able to produce street photography images that have visual impact.
