As always, opinions are welcomes and greatly appreciated no matter how stupid they are
(That was a joke of course)
I'm adding a few other photographers who may not fit the text book definition of a street photographer, but they've shot street and interested in opinions on them as well.
If I've omitted some that are important to you, please list them. I value the opinions of the members.

Daido Moriyama and Takuma Nakahira.
I'm beginning to really appreciate the Japanese style of street photography.

You wanna laugh... I didn't even vote for Winogrand. I go with my gut emotionally. Week to week I feel differentially about images. Some weeks I'm very moved by a Herzog. Then another I'm moved by a Davidson.
As a side note, check out a guy named Snaprat. His work is very good IMO. He is one of my favorites of contemporary practitioners. My barometer is if I'd pay to hang on my wall. Much of his stuff I would. (If I'm breaking a rule of the forum by pointing to another page please let me know and I'll remove immediately.)
Prob my favorite by Snaprat: Morning wash ritual New Delhi
This one will be looked at 100 years from now, I have no doubt.

My favourite may be Marti Friedlander, although it is debatable as to whether her work is street. But it is really cool regardless.

Andre Kertesz is my favorite of all.

The best camera is one that still works!
I see Winogrand and HCB are slugging it out for supremacy!
Who would have thunk it?

I would like to have been able to vote for Vivian Maier in this poll. As interesting is her story, I find her photographs even more compelling.

From Kartez to HCB and then to Winogrand and Martin Parr, that pretty much completes the street photography bell curve, the rest of us are just statistical anomalies.
My two favorites these days are William Eggleston and Walker Evans. I consider them both street at times and I'm sure they wouldn't have. hahaha.
