Hi! I'm new, in search of help. I just dug out and old FX-2 for my daughter to use in a high school photography course that she's taking. (Wisely they start them out on the antiques! lol.) Stupidly, the battery was left in. The compartment cover is fused in. Any suggestions? I really don't want to rip it apart, nor do I want to go out and buy her another one to use for 4 weeks.:bang: Note to self - must remove battery, must remove battery, must remove battery.

Standard Yashica repair... soak with Vinegar... either use a QTip to soak around the threads, or submerge the comparment in the stuff. You may or may not have to remove the cover plate 1st so as to avoid dunking other components (can't quickly find a pic of unit showing bat compartment to make that call)
