Unused film collector
A few years ago a friend gave me a K1000 and a Pentax-A Zoom 3.5-4.5 28-80.
The zoom was screwed up by someone he lent it to and it's been sitting on the shelf since. I want to buy a 50mm and give the camera to my niece and thought it would be nice if I could give her a working zoom as well.
So the problem:
The focusing ring is stuck at infinity and the zoom ring is stuck at about 40mm. There is a little play in both but they aren't going anywhere.
I've been looking around the webs but can't find any info.
I doubt it's worth getting repaired as I think these are pretty cheap used but I had a thought that I might tinker with it if I new generally the direction to go in.
Any thoughts or advice is appreciated.
