I inadvertently loaded a roll of 1600 neopan into my contax T which only goes to 1000. If I shoot this 1600 film at 1000 I would guess I need to develop it for less time. if developed as 1600 in D-76 at 20 the suggested time is 9 minutes. How much less should I develop it if I shoot it at 1000?
It's only 2/3 of a stop difference, so giving it normal development wouldn't be all that bad. Just a bit denser negs is all. You could drop the last 20-30 seconds if you want, and this will also slightly lower the contrast.

If the lighting was contrasty while you took the pictures: cut a minute. If it was low contrast stay with the 9 minutes. No big difference anyway.

Thanks fellers, probably another few days before I shoot the film, then I'll see what develops.
One bright side to this, you should have nice shadow detail to work with!
