Thank you
Alexander

p.s. I tried search, but without success 🙁

It looks as if someone attempted an aftermarket recovering job, and didn't get them glued on quite right. Whether this is acceptable is something that only the owner of the camera (you) can decide, however the back door looks like it might snag and get worse over time. I can't tell about the battery cover.

you don't sound REALLY HAPPY, but congrats on the camera anyway. if your perfectionism slides towards the appearance of your m7, it's quite understandable. i can't help with a solution to that, but i'm sure others will chime in. i can only suggest steering the perfectionism towards correctly exposing that velvia (or another unforgiving slide film of choice) or something in that ballpark. i'm sure the m7 won't mind...

I was going to suggest the same. I believe new coverings are available cheaply for M cameras and the last owner may have decided to have a go. You may wish to buy one and have a go yourself - or try just resticking these loose edges with stickum.

Only problem is that you might have to experiment a bit to get the right kind of glue for the job given that you have to get it into delicate corners without getting it on the front of the covering. The rubbery contact cement stuff that one normally uses is stringy and gets on every thing.

I will absolutely happy after my first test roll.
If it true, I'm not SO aware about this skin cover, just to check is it normal or not.
Before buying ( unfortunately I didn't have a time to make a test shots ) I checked scratches on body and cleaning of film pass: everything is like new, except this two small things.

I have the sme poblem with the battery cover on mine- and it has the original covering. Will eventually try to get Peter at CRR Luton to recover mine in genuine (M4-type) vulcanite when I have some time.
