Yeah, I've noticed the same thing. And while we're on the subject, I have found the thread options to be confusing. I assumed it was only my inexperience with this type of forum, as I don't belong to any others, but I often have trouble digging through the threads to find out what everyone's talking about; the various ways one can display a thread are, I suppose, a good thing, but I wish there was an easy way to jump to the head of a discussion to see what started all the hubub..
If you wish to Subscribe to a thread scroll to the top, click on Thread Tools, and you can do so there. To Unsubscribe, do the same thing, the option you will see had changed.
Automatic Subscriptions as I understand it is to threads that you start. In your User CP you can go through the options and choose to, or not to automatically subscribe to the threads you start.
