I happened to be walking past Yonge and King yesterday when the first responders pulled up. I had just loaded a roll into my OM-1.

Shortly after, masses of firetrucks and police cars pulled up. Checked the news on my phone, and figured out it was a 'localized threat within the subway." Seeing the fireman charge down into what was obviously a bomb threat was pretty amazing. I have enormous amounts of respect for what they do.

I got taped out of the area shortly after, and found a way around just as the Explosive Disposal Unit were finishing up. It was a relief, to say the least.

Since this is the SLR forum, after all, it was really nice having my OM-1 with me for this. Using a motor winder for the first time on an SLR was pretty fantastic, allowing me to keep up with the action. I love using my M6 and really taking my time, which is why the motor winder has stayed at home until now, but I'm glad the OM-1 was with me. The 35mm Zuiko is quite the lens, too.

Cheers.

Excellent pics Ethan. Thankfully it ended okay. Theres enough bad things going on around the world. However, given that you just happened to be there I reckoned you handled the 'shoot' well.
