This GAS is also the result of Lomography's new black & white 110 film. I'm set for a while as far as digital goes - at least until I cave in for the Leica X2.

Man, I was thinking "why's he got GAS for that crap?" and then I looked at the kit. It's not like one piece--it's a whole set. Any you can use some of the lenses on micro 4/3, right? You should have kept your mouth shut--now you have a bunch of fanatics to bid against. (Not me, though--I don't have anything the lenses would fit, yet.)

There are some very nice 110 cameras. I was playing around with my Canon 110ED 20 the other day and just admiring it. It has rangefinder focusing and a fast f/2.0 lens, plus it's a metal-bodied camera and has a very nice heft to it. The lens is a sharp one and produces nice pics for a 110 camera.

I just picked up a sweet little Auto 110 kit in the metal case. It has all the bells and whistles except the flash is missing. I thought it was broken but it just needed a couple dabs of lighter fluid and now its shutter is firing properly. Can't wait to try it out.
I know these lenses are becoming pretty popular with the digital guys now that they are starting to make adapters.
Time to order some of the new Lomo 110 film.

I once had the little Pentax kit, courtesy of my fatehr who had owned it before me.

It had a complete set of lenses, flash and other accessories and was rather sweet although only of average build quality. While I really liked the camera at first I found I seldom got sharp images from it. Part of the problem turned out that the lens mount was loose and a simple screw tightening fixed that. But I still think that even afterwards images were only just OK -resumably the small format did not help. Are the film cassettes still even available?????

This thread is wanting me to retrieve the Fujica 350 Pocket 110 camera and finish shooting the roll that's been in there for months.

I had one of those Pentax Auto 110 rigs, way back in the 1980s, but I believe the Fujica, though a fixed zoom lens, is sharper.

LOL! What a fun thread to read. I remember having a slim, futuristic Kodak 110 camera as a kid. I always thought it had such cool styling.

The only thing keeping me from diving into this GAS pool with the rest of you is the fact that I have no idea where I could get 110 film developed in my area. Sure, I could buy some Lomo 110 cartridges, but how to get them developed?

Even with my own Paterson tanks + reels, I don't think I could put 110 on the spools. Hmm.

The Auto 110 is awesome—really fun to shoot and it's just adorably tiny. The pictures are small and grainy and I love them that way. I also have a Voigtlander Vitoret 110 that's well made and very cool but the Pentax is without question a nicer camera. It's great Lomo has made 110 film available but hopefully the price comes down a bit. Otherwise, eBay usually has some old expired color film in a similar price range.

Years ago, in the 80s, Modern Photography did a story on a newspaper PJ who went to a Pentax 110. They showed some of his work and gave his reasons for using it. I guess given the normal size of paper prints, it was alright. Actually, some of that they showed in 8x10 was acceptable by themselves from MP reproduction in their magazine.

EDIT: I also used to know a person who fell for the 110 Pentax system, got some of the lenses and all. He had been trained as a photographer but didn't do his on processing any more. Still, he loved that camera and used it all the time.

As to developing, from time to time you can still find 110 reels on ebay or other sites. Somebody else had them for a while. I had one, but I got it with something else and never used it. Don't know if I still have it or not. I have even seen 110 film holders for Omega D5/6 enlargers. It's still out there, even if not commonly seen.
