I visited a Vintage Communications Fair today, full of boring stuff like valve (tube) amplifiers and old telephones. I thought I was safe because there wasn't anything that interested me much, then, wham - instant gas !
Two old cameras looking all forlorn and out of place. I spoke to the seller and he said they belonged to his deceased father-in law, but he thought they worked ok.
Price was discussed, but not resolved, and I walked away - thinking I'd had a narrow escape, and wondering where I got the willpower from.
5 mins later - Disaster - He followed me and said he would accept my price after all as there didn't seem to be much interest in cameras.
I think I'll keep the Microcord as it's British with a Ross Xpres lens, and sell the EXA 1 to defray expenses. they both seem to work but the shutter is a bit sticky on the Microcord with some speeds non-funtional.
Wat's the EXA ! worth ? maybe £20 plus postage ? tell me what you think.
