I drive an SUV, which is necessary for hauling our dogs and other things. The SUV has a center console with, of course, cupholders. I'd like to figure out a way to hold a camera and lens (Leica M) in or near the center console so I don't have to worry about it flying around during sudden stops or swerves and also don't have to dig it out of a gadget bag if I want to stop and take a photo. (The cupholders by themselves are too small.)
Any thoughts, ideas or suggestions?

I have this not fancy made in America Tamrac bag. It opens with right hand only without looking at it. It has three adjustable compartments. In minivan I place on mid console but it is flat console. Or I place it on passanger seat in any car. Never a problem to take my M out.
If mid console is not flat one... I don't how to solve this problem....
Buy minivan
. Or just wear the camera. I often do.

Put a camera insert into your center console's storage caddy.
