I have an Xpro1 and am looking for a post processing program. I have an Apple , 4GB, Yosemite 10.10.1. Since I can't replace my 8 year old laptop, I'd really appreicate suggestions for post - I do mainly black and white.
Many thanks,
Darya

I also have an XPro1 and have been using Lightroom. It works for me. I also recently got Silver Efex and have been using their software for my black and white images.

On Mac and budget.... Affinty is pretty good with X-trans files.
It’s in the app store.
At 4G ram you’ll be on a RAM budget also.
Affinity seems to work pretty nicely on my 2011 Macbook air with 4G.
Aperture and LR would crash.

I use XPro1 (as well as other Fujis). I shoot mainly B&W and I use Lightroom 6 (standalone version) on an iMac with High Sierra. Files look great printed 6x9 and 12x18, the largest I can go with my printer. However, I have 16GB memory right now with space for another 16. Can't say how 4GB might do.

"RAW file converter EX 2.0 powered by Silkypix" seems to be available for mac and as far as I know it's a free download (or at least was free). There is a PDF "manual" for B&W conversions kicking around "x_pro1_photographersGuide_enSILKYPIX" that gives a good starting point for B&W images.
Might be worth a look. The current version of Silkypix Pro 8 looks good, but of course it's not free (I have seen it at Yen 30,000 -> approx US 275).
