I just got a Summar 50/2 today. The aperture numbers are "Continental numbers" I was told (pre-WWII standard.)
The numbers are: 12,5 - 9 - 6,3 - 4,5 - 3,2 - - - 2,2 - 2
Does the correspond to: 22 - 11 - 16 - 8 - 5.6 - 4 - 2.8 - 1.4 ?
I've tried searching but I cannot seem to find any information on this. Any help appreciated
Is there anything else I should know about this lens? I read that it's easily scratched so I have a filter on it. Anything else?

no - they correspond to just what they are marked... it's just a preference about where they fall.
they are still whole stops between them, I think. (except 2.2 and 2... obviously)

Nope. f/2 is f/2, f/9 is f/9 and etc. If you want f/4, you would have to guess by placing the selector in between f/3.2 and f/4.5.
Some say the lens is a dog, others love its signature.
