Yes. It is in one way or another functional for the Agfacolor filter system.

Thank you, honestly I don't collect Summars, they just seem to arrive arrached to converted cameras...

The black rim one and one of the nickel ones are coated. Yes, some are in pretty grim condition but curiously the uncoated one in the best optical condition is in the worst cosmetic condition and has a barrel worn through to the brass.

That one must have been used by a serious photographer. He used it a lot, but knew that he must be careful with the glass. Lenses in this condition are usually optically very good.
Sometimes old lenses in perfect condition are just bad examples and did not see much use.

When you want to sell a nickel coated Summar I am interested.

I shot about half a roll with a Summar this afternoon, just for the bokeh. On an overcast day flare isn't a problem and it's virtually as sharp as the DR Summicron past f/2.8. I prefer the overall IQ from the Summar, but it's smeary if you actually need f/2.

Well, I am pleased to see that at least they do exist! One wonders what the benefit of an extra element is in the tropics...or maybe this is just the beginning of a transition towards the Summitar?
