Please confirm or disagree as relevant!

The most common is chrome collapsible.
Then comes nickel, which seems much less common, perhaps 10 - 1?
Then the black nose Summar
Then the rigid Summar
And then, for those who are really into these things, the tropical Summar.

I believe there are also variants with different shaped aperture blades and a few that stop down beyond 12.5???

Are there any postwar Summars?

Were any Summars coated at factory during manufacture? I know this was a service offrede subsequently.

Can anyone fill in a few details?

Michael

No Postwar Summars

Only coated ones were done by folks after WW2 ~ mostly non-factory coatings (many German Photo Shops after the war offered coating services)

Last Summar issue was serial #503xxx in 1939/40

That`s what I know about them.....

Waus, yes thanks , this is the 'Tropical' or Tropen Summar. Interesting, I have never seen one.

Must say I am a bit surpised, I thought I would be told that there are many more types than I listed.
