It may be etched into the retaining ring under the front element. I had a 35 3.5 Summaron and that’s where it was.

I just looked at my 50mm Hektor f/2.5....same thing...no serial #.

if not there at front, I can't help ...
or maybe it was mounted on a fixed lens Leica, so no serial n°

If the name ring of the Hektor says "F=50mm" it is an old one that was once fixed on a Leica I body that is converted now. The serial number is scratched inside, you can't see it if the lens is not disassembled.
If it says "f=5cm" it is a later interchangeble one.

On mine it’s on the black ring on the front, like a.noctilux’s. Not there on yours?
