Summaron 3.5cm f/3.5 ...focus?

Hi,

This may sound STOOPID but does the 3.5cm f/3.5 Summaron focus. There is a focusing scale and an infinity lever but damned if I can move the lens?

Soaked it in CRC, WD40. Shellite. Metho. Acetone. Cloudy ammonia and even thought about taking to it with a hammer......................nah but !!!!:bang:😀

Not a Leica nut just the equivalent in Canon RF stuff

Did you press the button on the end of the focus lever??

If the foccus lock is on then it will not move. Press the button at the end of the little lever and it should then rotate easily. If not it is seized. While I have seen lenses with stiff focussing due to dried lube I have never seen not heard of one which has seized totally so I suspect the above is your problem. if it is seized do not try home remedies. bite the bullet and send it to a qualified Leica service person. This forum will advise you who is good and reliable in your area.

GOT IT...Just a quick tap with the teflon end of a small optical hammer did the job.

OK now some will be squeamish what I did but being in Optics it is a common remedy to move a locked screw in a frame. Held the press down leaver with the edge of my thumb nail on one side and short tap on the other side did the job.
