My apologies if this is a redundant post but I searched the forum and found no answer to what I'm looking for.
That said, has anyone found an appropriate 6 bit code for the 35mm f/3.5 Summaron? The big list of lens codes doesn't even have a f/2.8 but as these are both great performers, surely digital M users haven't hung up the lenses.
I just ordered an M8 (migrating from R-D1) and I want to continue to use the Summaron 3.5 which is one of my favorites. It's the late model screwmount with the infinity stop several mm away from the lens flange so a cutout LTM-M adapter is not needed as with the earlier Summaron and the Elmars.
I'm also using a Canon 50mm f/1.4 which I'm questioning if it even needs to be coded due to its length.
All the other lenses and coding questions about them have been answered through a bit of research.
Any advice is appreciated!
Happy shooting.
