Summaron w/eyes: alignment?

Hi- Just got a 35/2.8 with eyes in the mail; my first experience with the setup on an M3.

The M3's rangefinder patch is perfectly aligned with a 50 or a 90mm lens; however, with the 35/goggles mounted, it is vertically misaligned. Is this common? And is it easy to correct (i.e. can it be done at home)? Thanks!

i've found this to be true as well... photos taken with my Summaron have been in focus where i wanted them to be.

Thanks--I'm sure they'll be in focus if I focus properly; it's just a matter of making it slightly more difficult to do so. It's no huge deal, though.

I've been through the same a few weeks ago when I found an affordable goggled Summaron.

Around the round goggle lens there are three set screws: seen from front side at about 6:00, 9:00 and 2:00. The latter one is hidden quite deeply within the frame and was covered under black mastic. It took me a while to discover it.
This is the fixing screw. You have to dig out the mastic and loosen this screw a bit.
Then you can adjust IIRC vertical image with the 6:00 screw and horizontal image with the 9:00 screw.
A little turning of the screws causes considerable differences in setting, so adjust the screws little by little.
Vertical adjustment may cause the need for some horizontal adjustment afterwards; you have to try a few times. In my case it was only a few minutes job.
Afterwards fix the 2:00 screw and check if all is set well.

Enjoy your Summaron; ity is a really great lens. I now have one for my M2 and M3 ...
