Is the optical group of the Summicron DR unscrewing for the Visoflex? Few days ago, the front part of the barrel was very slightly unscrewed (heart attack!!!). I have quickly screwed the front part of the barrel and seems all OK, specially the focus operation.
Ciao.

Don't worry, this is normal. I don't think you can use the optical group from the DR with a visoflex, but the reason it unscrews is that the optical group and the sophisticated DR focus mount were matched for high performance.

If you dare to unscrew the optical group completely (no danger in doing it) your find a number on the optical group (as well as the ACTUAL focal length, usually 51.9mm) and a number on the mount. These should be the same number, otherwise your lens has been put together from separate sources.

Great lens the DR...

The optical unit can be used as an enlarging lens with the correct adaper and is best for large prints. It also goes in the proper focus mount for the copy devices.

I don`t recall it goes directly on the viso, just on the bellows if you mount the whole lens using the bayonet adapter on the front of the bellows
